Community Support Officer (Gulu, Uganda)
Okumu Kenneth Jimmy is from Owoo subcounty, Gulu district, and is a Community Support Officer at Kulukeno Hub. Their role as a community support officer is to sensitize the community about the digital internet at Kulukeno hub so that they can come and learn, connect and get information. They are so passionate about teaching all categories of community members and my dream is to become a professional teacher.

Omega Sam is from Awach Town Council, Gulu District, and is a Community Support Officer at Awach Central Hub. Their role as a CSO is to be the custodian of Hello-World properties at my Hello Hub.

Isaac Otikiro lives in Kampala and works with Hello World as a Community Support Officer at the Busawula community Hub. Their role is to support the community, access information, connectivity and encourage learning in the Hub. They are passionate about accelerating awareness and driving change in the community.

Eng. Rabiraj Khadka is a visionary technologist and social innovator at the forefront of Nepal's digital transformation. With a unique educational background in both Computer Engineering and Psychology, he brings a holistic approach to his work, contributing to societal development through the strategic intervention of Science, Technology, and Innovation. Guided by the philosophy of "Creative Destruction," he follows a dynamic process of Experiment-Innovate-Impact to provide cutting-edge solutions to community challenges. His expertise spans network engineering, system design, application development, IoT solutions, curriculum development, and community-driven ICT initiatives.
Passionate about mentoring young minds in Nepal, Rabiraj introduces them to both indigenous and cutting-edge technologies, exemplifying his dedication to sustainable, context-appropriate innovation. Currently leading Technology Development at Hello World and Technology For All, his work embodies the motto: "Community development through science, technology, and innovation." He constantly seeks new ways to apply technological solutions to social challenges, ensuring digital advancements translate into tangible benefits for Nepali communities.
When free from the confines of his profession, he finds inspiration in hiking Nepal's hills and expressing himself through poetry, reflecting his multifaceted nature and allowing him to draw connections between the natural world, human psyche, and technological innovation.
Rachael Nyionkuru
Community Support Officer (Juru - Nakivale)
Rachael successfully completed a mentorship program offered by Hello World and acquired numerous skills, culminating in the receipt of a training certificate. They also hold UCE and UACE certificates. Prior to joining Hello World in 2020, Rachael worked with Alight, where they were involved in data collection. As a Community Support Officer, Rachael's goal is to ensure the effective utilization of the hub and all its equipment to bridge the technology gap within the community.
Rachael is deeply passionate about lifelong learning and assisting others in achieving their own success and their dream is to lead a healthy and happy life while also being in a position to support others in achieving their own aspirations.

Community Support Officer (Geya, Uganda)
Rahima Ali is a social worker with a diploma in social works and social administrations. As a researcher, they have done a lot of good research work for a number of NGOs like Agakhan Foundation, World Vision, War Child Holland, CRS, Makerere University, Finn Church Aid, Plan International and Ministry of Health. They have managed to sensitize young women and girls on how to avoid teenage pregnancy, taught youth on financial literacy and how to make liquid soap, soap and reusable pads in Apo and Kuru sub counties. Rahima has big plans to work with communities to change the mindset of young women and girls, and make sure they are empowered.
Saugat Tamang
Engineer and Trainer - Nepal
Having completed his Bachelor degree from Everest engineering college Pokhara University, Saugat majors in computer engineering. Fresh out of college and straight into fieldwork he is now working as the lead engineer for the Hello Hub builds in Nepal. The Student has become the teacher as Saugat is assisting local communities during the Hub build. He will be giving basic hardware and software training to the community people after the completed builds. Dubbed by Johnny Fenn as the "extroverted introvert" he is often found playing games with local kids during the builds.

Sindhu has an MBA in Finance and has worked across the charity sector in Nepal. Having spent 5 years at the Lumle Agriculture Research Center in Neapl, he became a financial adviser for the Gurkha Welfare Trust UK and stayed for 26 years. He has worked on projects covering water, schools, medicine, agriculture, community action and care of the elderly.

Brian lives in Buloba, Wakiso District, working with Hello World as a Community Support Officer of Buloba Community Hub. Brian supports their community in accessing Internet, connectivity as well as learning in the hub. They are passionate in celebrating awareness, causing change which other people just talk about in the community. Brian feels happy each time they see a positive change in the community.

Vincent lives in Gayaza, Masaka and works with Hello World as a Community Support Officer of Gayaza Community Hub. Their role is to support the community, access information, connectivity and learn in the Hub. Vincent is passionate about accelerating awareness and bring change in the community. Project and Operations Coordinator, Nepal
For the past 5 years, Sumina has been engaged with various organizations working for the betterment of women and children. She has extensive experience working in the field of women empowerment, child rights, child safety and right to education programs. She is a passionate individual when it comes to community development, specifically women empowerment and child development issues. She is an introvert who loves to travel and explore new cuisine and food cultures.

Susan Akiror is a community social worker who holds a bachelor's Degree in adult and community education from Kyambogo University. She works as a project associate for Hello World and is very passionate about working with marginalised children, women, girls and youth in areas of economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, early childhood care and basic education.

The Andan Foundation is committed to improving the lives and dignity of refugees across the world and together we share the same drive to find solutions that promote refugees’ self-reliance and boost their resilience. Tom is a co-founder of 60 Decibels. Tom has held various leadership roles across the public, private and charitable sectors. Immediately before 60dB Tom was the Chief Impact Officer at Acumen, and prior to that worked in Ethiopia and Nigeria for the Department for International Development. Tom has also worked for the Foreign Office, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, and Credit Suisse. He holds a Masters degree (distinction) in Development Economics from SOAS.

Dr Frances Baawuah (MBChB MRCP MRCGP DFSRH PGMedEd) is a General Practitioner with over 15 years of clinical experience. Frances has shown leadership qualities since being awarded Head Girl at School. She continues to use these skills in her clinical work, and also as Partner of a 19,000 patient inner-city London Practice. She has recently been appointed as the clinical lead for her local Covid Response unit, as well as the Covid Schools surveillance study with Public Health England.

Laura is a former strategy consultant (Deloitte, Booz) and retail director (Kingfisher, Selfridges). She is now an advisor, angel investor and founder of a sustainable cleaning brand (Seep). She loves working on all things digital and customer-centred, particularly when working with organisations with a strong purpose. Perhaps most importantly of all she is a mother of two and believes passionately in Hello World’s mission of closing the gap in access to education.

Marcus has been involved in Hello World since before the first hub was built. He has worked in the digital industry for the last 23 years, cutting his teeth just prior to the early days of the dotcom boom after an early career in sales and marketing in the UK & Japan. He built his own digital marketing business until its acquisition in 2011 and is an angel investor in, and advisor to, early-stage UK and international businesses.

Co-Founder & Chief Executive of EYElliance, Liz has spent the last 12 years working in international development. After 5 years with the UN Office of South-South Cooperation, Liz joined VisionSpring as Director of Business Development where she and Founder Jordan Kassalow explored collaboration to provide access to eyeglasses on a global scale. Liz is a graduate of the University of Vermont, a member of the Explorers Club, and two-time National Geographic Society grant recipient for her work documenting endangered song.

Previously, she served as Executive Director of Sir John Soane’s Museum Foundation. Liz is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.

As an award-winning Writer-Director and Co-Founder of VR company, moVRshaker productions, Anna’s expertise lies in storytelling. Since 2016 she has also been Creative Director of ‘The Conversation’ - an annual live event hosted by Dame Emma Thompson in aid of the Helen Bamber Foundation, a charity that supports the survivors of trafficking and torture. She has created content for Human Rights advocacy across all media, and worked with both BAFTA and Oscar-winning talent as well as the National Youth Theatre (UK). In 2020 she scripted a BBC4 Radio Appeal which was made on Hello World’s behalf by actor, author and broadcaster, Stephen Fry.
